okay, I know I'm going to get shit on for this but hey, this is how I see The Norse Settlement went.
Now most people felt that Iceland and Greenland during that time they...fell in love at first sight? what? That isn't how it happen.
But anyway, what actually happen is well...let's say that Icelandic vikings and Greenlandic natives didn't get along very well often leading to scraps and arguments with each other and Iceland was calling Greenland a 'Wrench' in Norse which is what the Norsemen in Greenland often call them. The Natives thought the Norsemen were 'unworthy' of teaching them anything. This went on for 450 years until the Norse settlement die. So yes, how I see it is that Iceland and Greenland were often kept away from each other by Norway but as time went by they started to cool down by there was tension.
For my reasons for making this is because for 1: people often use this as shipping fuel. 2: I wanted to try something historical and 3: teach people a little something.
oh, and this is how I portray the 2 at this time so no sugarcoating this guys lol--.
